Service Description
Students strengthen learned skills in the Sewing I, Introductory class by constructing a full size straight skirt with a zip back closure, two darts, a buttonhole, and a basic waistband. An introduction to inner construction materials is utilized to complete the class project taking the learner through a sewing order of operation which is essential to understanding when constructing garments. Students should complete the project by the end of the class. We will provide the pattern. Supplies and Materials: 1.5 yards of non-print fabric with a 60-inch width or 2.0 yards of 45" width fabric. 1 yard of fusible interfacing 1- All-purpose zipper at 7 inches 1- 5/8-inch button with 4 or 2 holes (no shank buttons) Tools and Supplies for sewing your project as a normal practice Maximum Class Size 10 Prerequisite is Basic Sewing
