During this program students refine sewing skills by constructing 5 detailed garments over 12-weeks.  A shirt, skirt, jeans, jacket, and a dress are selected for the complete collection.  All garments must be completed with the required  inner construction to stated standards to receive the skills certification award.  Students are provided with a sample of how the garment should be completed as a reference.
 
Students who meet standards are eligible for project-based employment under the AFI Education to Employment platform.
