Students strengthen learned skills in the Sewing I Introductory class by constructing a full- size straight skirt with a zip back closure, two darts, a buttonhole, and a basic waistband.
An introduction to inner construction materials is utilized to complete the class project taking the learner through a sewing order of operation which is essential to understanding when constructing garments.
Materials Needed:
- 1.0 yards of 60 inch wide cotton fabric OR 1.5 yards of 45 inch wide cotton fabric
- 1.0 yards of fusible interfacing
- 1- 7 inch all purpose zipper (NOT invisible)
- 5/8 inch button
