All core and elective courses listed in this catalog are developed and delivered to prepare students for entry-level jobs in apparel production companies and in administrative fields related to the fashion industry. Each course of study strengthens a students ability to execute and demonstrate readiness for employment opportunities within the Education to Employment ecosystem of AGEE FASHION INSTITUTE and its subsidiaries. Each course may be taken individually when prerequisites are met. All classes have a late registration deadline of two weeks after original deadline.

Students will learn various types of sketches and when to use each. Exploration of gesture, flat and fashion sketching is introduced using tools, materials and other medium used by fashion designers.

Students strengthen their knowledge by focusing on the skills needed to convey concepts on paper as a technical sketch. Garment proportion, silhouette, construction lines, and other details are explored.

This sewing course focuses on the order of operations when constructing garments. The course is designed to help the student become efficient and quick when sewing garments with the industrial straight stitch machine. Students explore assembly and best practices make a garment ready for the retail rack.

This course prepares students to pursue industry jobs found in the production environment of an apparel manufacturing company. Students work in a real world environment learning to use the industrial straight stitch, Serger, and industry cutting equipment used to mass produce clothing. Logistics management is introduced.
