Sewing I   $ 69.00    2 Session (2.0 hours each day)

This introductory class is designed for the individual with little to no sewing experience. By the end of the two day session students will recognize and understand sewing terminology, the purpose of notions, have basic fabric knowledge, demonstrate the ability to use basic techniques needed to construct garments such as cutting, pinning, tracing and sewing darts.

Sewing II  $ 79.00      (1 session, 2 hours)

Students strengthen learned skills in the Basic Sewing Introductory class by constructing a full size straight skirt with a zip back closure, two darts, a buttonhole, and a basic waistband. An introduction to inner construction materials is utilized to complete the class project taking the learner through a sewing order of operation which is essential to understanding when constructing garments. Students should complete the project by the end of the class. We will provide the pattern. We provide the pattern

Sewing III  $ 82.00      (1 session, 2 hours)

This class offers an opportunity to prepare for spring/summer looks. Students will continue strengthening their sewing skills by constructing a pair of pull-on Capri pants. An introduction to applying elastic is introduced during this class.

We will provide the pattern.

Sewing IV   $ 82.00      (1 session, 2.0 hours)

Yes you are ready for this project! Students will construct a pair of fly front shorts designed with patch pockets, a waist band facing and belt loops. Join us for this fun project you will use for yourself and your kids.

Students are responsible for bringing their own fabric and notions.

Working with Easy Patterns $ 54.00     (1 session, 2.0 hours)

If you are ready to finally understand how to read and interpret patterns like Simplicity, Vogue, etc. this is the class for you. We explore the writing of Easy patterns in this class and discuss how to ensure the pattern fits you perfectly.

Finishing Techniques $ 69.00       (1 session, 2.0 hours)

This class is devoted to construction detailing. Students learn seam finishing techniques, pocket detailing and more.

Introduction to Sergers  $ 79.00      (1 session, 2.0 hours)

This class teaches the basics of sewing various seam finishes with a Serger and how to thread the machine.

You must bring your own Serger for this class or rent a machine for 5.00 fee. Subject to availability.

Introduction to Altering Clothes $ 79.00     (1 session, 2.0 hours)

This class is designed for individuals who want to learn the basics of altering clothing.  The course covers rules for altering men, women, and children’s clothing.  Rules covered are based on garment type and are stressed for professionally altered garments.  Students will alter pants and a simple skirt during the class period. Understanding basic patterns is explored to strengthen learned concepts. 


This class is the prerequisite to subsequent alteration classes.   Students must have basic sewing skills to take the class.

Introduction to Flat Pattern Drafting  $ 69.00  (1 session, 3.0 hours)

Students are introduced to the process of flat pattern drafting through half scale slopers. This class lays the foundation for all subsequent classes. Tools and supplies needed are covered during the class period and are mandatory for all subsequent classes in the series.

Personal Sloper for a Skirt  $ 100.00    (1 session, 3.0 hours)

Students create the first piece of the 5 basic sloper set.   Students must arrive to class ready for personal measurement recording.

Personal Sloper for a Pant  $ 85.00      (1 session, 3.0 hours)

This class builds on the personal sloper from the skirt draft. The final draft is the foundation of all other pant designs.

Personal Sloper for Bodice and Sleeve $ 120.00       (1 session, 3.0 hours)

The bodice sloper is the foundation piece for blouses and tops. The sleeve is added to this session in preparation for subsequent and more advanced styles.

Fitting Personal Slopers  $ 69.00      (1 session, 2.0 hours)

All foundational garments made from personal slopers during the series should be fitted to the individual for accuracy. A separate class is designated specifically for checks and balances.

Refer to this fee sheet when students are no-shows to registered classes without prior notification.  Students are subject to the difference in the regular and discount class fee. Class can always be taken within the allowable 9 month period.
